Golf vs Association Croquet
While both games utilize our precision-leveled courts and premium equipment, they offer vastly different experiences in terms of strategy and pace. Although the majority of our members prefer Golf Croquet, those who play Association Croquet “the original game”, enjoy being alone on a court, employing their skills in scoring hoops and placing balls in strategic positions.
Golf Croquet
Think of Golf Croquet as a fast, social, and direct game. It is the perfect entry point for those looking for a dynamic and interactive match.
The Format: Played between two individuals or teams, with each side playing two balls.
Scoring: Points are earned by being the first player to successfully run a hoop
The Goal: Be the first to reach a set number of points (typically seven).
Association Croquet
For those who enjoy deep strategy, Association Croquet is more akin to a game of snooker. It is a game of skill where a single turn can last for twenty minutes as players build complex breaks.
The Format: Like Golf Croquet, it is played between two individuals or teams using two balls each.
Scoring: Every hoop and the final peg strike earns a point, leading to a maximum possible score of 26.
The Goal: Be the first to strike both of your balls through all six hoops in both directions, following a fixed order, and finally strike the central peg.
