CERN Croquet Club
Established in 1982, as a Croquet Club, we have expanded over the years to include Lawn Bowls and Gateball.
The CERN Croquet Club is located on the CERN site in Prévessin, France. Expertly maintained and perfectly flat, the lawns provide a consistent surface for play. The grounds are expansive, offering ample room for two regulation croquet lawns.
MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
The lawns are ready and the season has started, so come along to an Open House at the Club on Sunday 31 May as of 14:00, to see what we have to offer.
We offer non contact sports open to ALL Ages, Genders and Abilities. All equipment is provided and instruction offered, but please wear flat soled shoes.
While Croquet and Lawn Bowls are typically British sports, Gateball comes from Japan, although based on the rules of croquet it is played as a team sport. It was created by Eiji Suzuki in 1947 to give the youth something to play soon after the war.
British or Japanese we all have Afternoon Tea, which will be offered.
